Conner Industries is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial lumber, panel goods, and industrial wood packaging. Conner has an outstanding reputation in our industry and has been supplying Forest Products and wood packaging for over 35 years.


We are seeking a Production Supervisor. This Supervisor is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of the production and handling equipment. In this role, the Supervisor is a visible leader; developing and leading a team based production operation focused on achieving quality and delivery expectations to our customers.


  • Supervise hourly employees and allocate accordingly to support saw and assembly workload
  • Train employees and in accordance with company policies
  • Carry out and coordinate orders to ensure on-time delivery to customers
  • Lead paperwork processing to ensure accuracy in material usage and waste management at the work stations
  • Complete scheduling and reporting in the ERP system to support order processing
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and support maintenance and changeovers
  • Coach employees and continually support a positive work environment
  • Oversee and conduct training on proper operation of equipment and lead safety efforts
  • Participate in projects and lean efforts to drive continual improvement at the facility
  • Be a visible leader; leading by example with work ethic and attitude
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in a wood related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervision experience; multiple departments
  • Previous lumber experience is desired
  • Experience with inventory management and material processing; forklift certification a plus
  • Mechanically inclined; experience with wood cutting and manufacturing facility infrastructures
  • Past work in a continuous improvement culture, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt training is a plus
  • Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, )
  • Prior experience in ERP or other business and production scheduling systems
  • Great communicator and experience building / working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical thinking


  • Lumber re manufacturing facility with cutting and assembly equipment
  • Significant time walking, coaching and working in a non-air-conditioned facility
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, operate equipment and assembly products
  • Indoor office area with outdoor production and lumber yard management
  • Hearing protection and eye wear required, and steel-toed shoes recommended
  • Minimal travel and weekends expected hours but may be required to support business
