Company Management

David Dixon, Chief Executive Officer

David began his career in 1988 with Price Waterhouse where he spent 5 years in the Audit Practice working on a variety of clients in the Manufacturing Sector. David then went to Cummins Engine and held a variety of positions in Corporate Logistics, Customs and NAFTA Trade Compliance, Six Sigma Black Belt as well as Audit. David joined Goodyear Tire & Rubber as their Global Leader of Trade Compliance and later became the Worldwide Director of Internal Audit. Read more >>

Jason Smith, Chief Financial Officer

Jason joined Conner in September of 2017. Jason has over 20 years of Financial leadership experience, with more than 15 years in manufacturing. Jason has held leadership roles with Hertz, Devon Energy, GE and his most recent role as the Director of Corporate Accounting with the Crosby Group. Jason has extensive experience in Financial Reporting, Corporate Consolidation and Acquisitions. In addition, Jason has worked in private equity environments, including KKR.  Read more >>

Greg Stewart, Vice President of Sales

Greg began his career in the lumber business in 1981 with Fry Wholesale Lumber Co. in Dallas, Texas as an order puller and truck driver. He soon became the operations manager and a few years later moved into sales and purchasing.  In 1993, Greg came to Conner as a salesman.  Read more >>

Mike Huggins, Vice President of Strategic Accounts & Business Development

Mike began his career at Conner Industries in 2007 as a sales representative, where he quickly understood the need for solution selling in the wood packaging industry and began working directly with some of the largest manufacturers in the HVAC, Chemical, and Oil & Gas industries.  Read more >>

Gerald Goodson

Gerald Goodson, Director of Western Regional Sales

Gerald began his career in accounting and financial analysis in 1994 with Sysco Foods in Oklahoma.  He quickly moved into management and eventually became Director of Finance for the Crosby Group, a global manufacturer of accessories used in lifting and material handling applications for industries ranging from oil and gas exploration to construction.  Gerald joined the Conner team in early 2018 as the Director of Western Regional Sales.  Read more >>

Deb Haynie

Deb Haynie, Director of Eastern Regional Sales

Deb joined the Conner Team in March 2019 as the Director of Eastern Regional Sales, bringing with her more than 13 years of experience in the pallet industry.  At CHEP USA in 2006, Deb created their first team focused on platform solutions for public warehousing.  In 2015, she transferred to CHEP’s recycled division as a General Manager for their Atlanta Plant, which was later branched off under new ownership under the name of 48forty Solutions.   Read more >>

Tom Rice, Founder & Director Emeritus

After college (University of Texas at Austin) and serving in the USAF, Tom started his building material and lumber career in 1965 as a salesman for National Gypsum Company in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.   Read more >>

Walter Barandiaran

Walter Barandiaran, Chairman of the Board

Walter is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of The Argentum Group. Walter has more than 25 years of private equity experience during which time he has led over 35 investments for Argentum and has served on the boards of 25 companies. Read more >>

Douglas Robinson, Board Member

Douglas previously served as President, International Operations of Lowe’s Companies (NYSE:LOW); President & CEO of Beaver Lumber; and Vice President Purchasing of 84 Lumber Company.   Read more >>

Elliot Zeelander, Board Member

Elliot also serves as managing partner of an investment firm in the Los Angeles area and has strong ties in the financial sector with companies such as Crowell, Weedon & Co. and Morgan Stanley.  Read more >>

Gregory P. Taylor, Board Member

Gregory previously served as Executive Vice President Global Field Operations of, and led the commercial growth and go-to-market strategy for, Triple Point Technology, a global commodity management solution for trading, risk and supply chain, which was sold to a strategic buyer for $900 million.  Read more >>

Lawrence B. Burrows, Board Member

Lawrence serves as an Independent Director of TriPointe Homes, a top-ten national homebuilder. He is a Senior Planning Fellow and the Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University. He is also an officer and Treasurer of the non-profit Chesapeake Multi-Cultural Resource Center.  Read more >>
